Situated between the foothills of the Criffel Range and Mount Barker in Wānaka, New Zealand, this lot offers commanding views, with Roys Peak and Mt Alta framing the view to the north and the Criffel Range towering over the site to the south.
The proposed structure sits on an existing flat pad; a circuitous driveway follows the contours and switches back at the entry court elevation. A garage structure extends underneath the main house's roof canopy, beneath which a schist rock wall also extends, providing privacy and contributing to the arrival sequence. Between these elements is an opening to the main entry, on axis with Mt Alta.
